Amy Hunter is a cognitive behavioral therapist with 20 years experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Amy began her career counseling adolescent trauma survivors in residential treatment. After 12 years as a clinician, Amy spent 6 years as a program director of a DCF funded group home. Amy is skilled in the assessment and treatment of sexually abusive youth and juvenile fire setters. She was an evaluator for the Juvenile Court Clinic in Northampton and performs evaluations for DCF. Amy received her intensive DBT training in 1997 through the Behavioral Technology Transfer Group and has been leading DBT groups since then. Amy holds Masters Degrees in Educational and School Psychology
and a Doctorate in Educational Psychology.
